MEET THE BOARD

Chair
Rachel Zwipf
When Rachel moved to Pottstown, she found the same loving community she had known in her hometown of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She focuses on juvenile justice and mental health case management in her work, and is a loving mother to two sons.
“It’s important for me to give back to my community! Why? Because my community is an extension of my home, they took me in when I relocated and still look out for me now.”

Vice Chair
Stephanie Brown
A fifth-generation resident of Pottstown, Stephenie Brown was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but spent her entire life traveling between there and her mother’s hometown of Huntersville, NC. Stephanie has worked in the area of affordable housing for the past 27 years and has a passion for community activism and helping others. She also contributes to the Mayor’s Housing Task Force for the Town of Huntersville.

Board-Member-at-Large
Emmanuel Allen
Emmanuel Allen moved to the Charlotte Area in 1979 to work for IBM. Shortly after, he married Tawana Nivens of Pottstown. Mr. Allen was the chair for the Charlotte Organized Project (CHOP) where he campaigned to end red-lining. His focus is now on spending time with his family, traveling, and working to stop the gentrification in Pottstown by helping the residents take control of the community.
